SOFTWARE LICENSE
Black Widow Software License Terms.
These terms govern the Black Widow application software. Use of this website is governed by the Website Terms of Use; the equipment warranty is governed by the applicable warranty.
EFFECTIVE DATE: AUGUST 26, 2026
1 · THE LICENSELock Labs, Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Black Widow application (the “Software”) on compatible devices you own or control, solely to operate Black Widow key cutting equipment.
2 · OWNERSHIPThe Software is licensed, not sold. The Software and its content, including its key databases, are owned by Lock Labs, Inc. or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3 · PERMITTED USEThe Software is intended for professional and lawful key work. You are responsible for ensuring that every key you originate, duplicate or decode is authorized — cut keys only for lock owners or their authorized agents, in compliance with applicable law.
4 · RESTRICTIONSExcept where applicable law prohibits such restrictions, you may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, or extract its databases, and you may not use the Software with equipment for which it was not licensed.
5 · UPDATESCurrent software and key-database updates are provided free of charge. Updates may be required for continued operation and may change or remove features. Some functions require an Internet connection.
6 · THIRD-PARTY & OPEN-SOURCE COMPONENTSThe Software may include components licensed from third parties, including open-source components, which remain subject to their own license terms.
7 · APP STORESIf you obtain the Software through Google Play or the Apple App Store, the store's terms also apply. If a custom license is adopted for the iOS application, Apple's required end-user license provisions apply — including that Apple is not responsible for the Software or its support and that Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce these terms.
8 · DIRECT APK DISTRIBUTIONThe V2 Android application is also offered on this site as a direct APK download for advanced installs. Downloading or installing it constitutes agreement to these terms. Install direct downloads only from this site or from Lock Labs, and only on devices you control — outside the store channels, you are responsible for the installation.
9 · SUPPORT & WARRANTYTechnical support for the Software and machine is available at (888) 816-1046. These license terms do not modify the separate Black Widow equipment warranty.
10 · TERMINATIONThis license ends automatically if you materially breach these terms. On termination, discontinue use of the Software. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply survive termination.
